4 stars - Nodal Ninja N4-PKG - Good product. About Me Pro Photographer. Verified Buyer. Nodal Ninja N4-PKG - Good value for money. About Me Photo Enthusiast. Verified Buyer. This is an easy to use, well thought out panoramic head. I mostly take 3-4 shot stitches in portrait orientation, and I don't have a complaint. As another reviewer said, those with very demanding needs might want something more elaborate, and perhaps mechanized, but this is a solid product that won't get in your way. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - By Photomatrix_1 from Vermont

4 stars - Nodal Ninja N4-PKG - About Me Pro Photographer. It does what it promises. Verified Buyer. Are there better panorama devices? Absolutely, but they cost a lot more. At this price point (especially if you want to minimize parallax) there is no competition. I improved it a bit with an arca-style clamp that I had sitting around. If you had to make hundreds of stitched photographs on short notice, it makes sense to spend the extra money on the more expensive model or perhaps the motorized version but for the occasional pano or Brenizer, this is light, travels well, and works as promised. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - By Ben from New York

5 stars - Nodal Ninja N4-PKG - Nice budget panoramic head. About Me Photo Enthusiast. Verified Buyer. I've used this head to take 360x180 full spherical panoramas and some partial spherical panoramas with my 5D Mark III. It's so much faster and easier to get all the needed shots for a large panorama! It's worked great with a variety of lenses. I've successfully used it from 24 up to 100mm focal lengths on full-frame. It's lighter and cheaper than some of the alternatives, but still solidly built and easy to use. It comes with some extra parts and a nice carrying case. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - By Jeff from Seattle, WA

5 stars - Nodal Ninja M1-L-RD16-II - awesome. About Me Semi-pro Photographer. Verified Buyer. This is an awesome addition. Finally, you can shoot panos in rows with any lens. The click stops are poorly explained in the "documentation" but once figured out, is a snap. Click, click, click. I easily produced a vertical set pano 10 across in 3 rows. Using AutoPan (not PS), I produced a flawless pano with a 70 mm lens thus reducing barrel and lens distortion. Highly recommended. Highly crafted.Just beware that the "documentation" is non-existant. A sad commementary on a developing trend. "Just look it up." If you dig deep enough there are some good references. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - By bodywise from san jose, CA

5 stars - Nodal Ninja M1-L-RD16-II - Best Panoramic Kit Available!! About Me Semi-pro Photographer. Verified Reviewer. I use this with the Nikon D800E and the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 G lens. I also have the MB-D12 Battery Grip. This is one of Nodal Ninja's top of the line Pano kits and is a must if you are shooting with large lens. The kit does come with a lot of spare parts, but I consider this a good thing. If you follow the guides on Nodal Ninja's website it is pretty straight forward to setup. You can also call or email them. They are very helpful if you get stuck. For this setup I needed the following to shoot landscape with my rig and get a full 360.

3 stars - Nodal Ninja R1/R10 Lens Ring for Canon EF 8-15mm f/4.0L Fisheye USM Lens - Not a Perfect Design But Works Great. About Me Pro Photographer. Verified Buyer. Whoever designed this concept of mounting the panorama head right to the lens did a great and not so great thing. The great thing is that the ring is specific to one lens so the nodal point is easily set. It also makes setting up a 360 panorama very easy. The down side is that the ring covers the AF/MF switch, Zoom Lock and Manual Focusing Scale. There is probably no better way to do this. If you leave this ring on the lens it increases the weight and makes it a little difficult to carry and store. Here is a tip. They recommend using tape to hold the inner ring on to the lens. My experience is that this is totally not necessary. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. - By Rich Lewis from New Jersey

NN note - this lens ring is now available with viewing window as requested above.
